Elementary

Level 1 – Elementary Basic Academic Support ($760)

This level is designed for elementary students who need a limited level of academic assistance to help them remain successful in the classroom. Students may need occasional support with organization, assignment completion, study skills, or minor gaps in learning, but do not require intensive intervention.

Support includes:

• Limited academic assistance during the school week
• Periodic monitoring of academic progress
• Support with age-appropriate organization, classroom routines, and assignment completion
• Minor classroom accommodations that are beneficial to the student’s learning success
• Additional testing time of up to 50% when supported by current diagnostic documentation completed within the past three years
• Communication and coordination among teachers, parents, administration, and the student support team, as needed
• Academic resources and practical strategies for students, parents, and teachers
• An Academic Plan for Success outlining the student’s identified needs, accommodations, and support strategies

Level 2 – Elementary Academic Support ($1,830)

Level 2 is designed for elementary students who require more consistent and individualized assistance due to weak foundational skills, significant gaps in learning, dyslexia, difficulty completing classroom work, or challenges that interfere with continued academic success.

Level 2 includes all Level 1 services, as well as:

• More frequent and individualized academic assistance during the school day
• Continued monitoring and documentation of academic progress
• Targeted support to strengthen foundational reading, writing, spelling, or mathematics skills
• Dyslexia intervention and reading support using the Barton Reading & Spelling System, when appropriate for the student’s identified needs
• Additional assistance with work completion, attention to tasks, organization, and time management
• More frequent communication and coordination among teachers, parents, administration, and the student support team
• An individualized Academic Plan for Success that includes specific academic goals, interventions, accommodations, and progress-monitoring strategies

Secondary

The benefits of the program for Secondary students are as follows:

Level 1 ($760) - Extended Testing Only - Students with current (within 3 years) diagnostic documentation on file, who qualify for extended testing, may receive up to 50% extra time on quizzes, tests, and final exams.  
•    Includes an Academic Plan for Success with accommodations for extra time.
 

Level 2 ($1830)– student requires remedial academic, organizational, and time management assistance; has weak foundational skills or gaps in learning; has difficulty with success in the classroom. This level will provide:
•    Level 1 benefits (with current documentation)
•    Assistance for student during the school day
•    Weekly monitoring of academic progress
•    Minor accommodations beneficial to learning success
•    A liaison between teacher, parents, administration, and student
•    Students, parents, and teachers with academic resources and strategies
•    Includes an Academic Plan for Success with individualized accommodations
 

Level 3 ($3565) – student has a current (within 3 years) medical or educational diagnosis and requires specific accommodations and/or modifications for success in the classroom. This level will:
•    Provide all benefits as listed in Level 1 and Level 2
•    Includes an Academic Plan for Success with individualized accommodations and reasonable modifications to instruction, assignments, time, and testing.
 

Level 4 ($6080) – (In-Class Support Services) student has a current medical or educational diagnosis and demonstrates a need for consistent, direct support within the classroom environment. This support level requires a minimum of 12 students registered in this program. Less than 12 will result in not offering this support level.
•    Provide all benefits as listed in Levels 1–3
•    Includes in-class support from a learning support specialist or aide to assist with tasks such as assignment initiation, redirection, note-taking, and reinforcement of instructional content
•    Offers collaboration between classroom teachers and the learning support staff to modify instruction in real time
•    Includes ongoing progress monitoring and communication with parents and teachers
